Vistino village

The village of Vistinsky rural settlement in Kingisepp district of the Leningrad Region, located on the Gulf of Finland Shore (Western Part of the Soikinsk Peninsula).

The settlement was first mentioned in the Swedish "Scammers of Izhora land" dated 1618 – 1623. In the past, these lands were inhabited by the Finno-Ugric people – the Izhora, so Vistino is called the "capital of Izhora". Now Izhora is one of the endangered indigenous people in Russia, who's population is about 200 people.

RusChemAlliance actively participates in social and environmental projects, popularization of minor endangered people culture and traditional crafts in Kingisepp district of the Leningrad region among the general public. Izhora museum located in Vistino is supported with contributions from the company.
